Over the past week, Warner Bros. has announced that two of its iconic (albeit very different) properties are getting official fan events in the U.S.
First up, anyone who used to tune into HBO religiously for The Sopranos should mark their calendars for this December. The Sopranos official convention is coming to the Los Angeles Convention Center from Dec. 17-18, hosted in partnership with Creation Entertainment. Special guests at this official fan event will include the show’s creator and producer, David Chase, along with actors Edie Falco (Carmela Soprano), Dominic Chianese (Corrado “Junior” Soprano), Robert Iler (A.J. Soprano), Vincent Pastore (Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero), Aida Turturro (Janice Soprano), Federico Castelluccio (Furio Giunta), and David Proval (Richie Aprile).
The event will celebrate this award-winning drama with on-stage panels, interviews, and audience Q&As; trivia competitions; a costume contest; and autograph and photo op sessions. Tickets and additional information for this event are available now at sopranosconvention.com. There are both single-day and two-day packages available, with themed names such as “Boss,” “Underboss,” “Consigliere,” and “Capo.”
But that’s not all — As announced during this year’s “Back to Hogwarts” online event, muggles and wizards alike will convene for an official, three-day Wizarding World fan event next year. Created in partnership with Superfly X and presented with Fever, the festival will offer panel discussions, film screenings, special guest appearances, cosplay and trivia competitions, autograph signings, photo opportunities, exclusive merchandise, and more.
There isn’t an official date or location yet for the Wizarding World Festival, but Harry Potter fans can start readying their trunks and Portkeys now. The latest information about this convention will be available at wizardingworldfestival.com.
