Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, the AR mobile game that launched last week, is having an official, real-world event.
Niantic and WB Games are throwing a fan festival at the White River State Park in Indianapolis from Aug. 31-Sept. 1. In addition to playing the game, Potterheads will be able to take part in interactive experiences that have not been revealed yet.
Wizards Unite launched last week to a less-than-stellar start, so this is clearly an attempt to boost excitement for the game. If we can put in our two cents: Maybe an appearance by Mr. Harry Potter himself at this fan festival would boost the morale.
