Oh, American Horror Story, what’s in a name?
Ever since Ryan Murphy announced that season 8 would be a Murder House/Coven crossover, we’ve been on pins and needles waiting for more information about what that could entail. And with a special midnight panel at Comic-Con International: San Diego, FX gave us two breadcrumbs about the upcoming fall season.
First, we have the name. Officially, season 8 will be known as American Horror Story: Apocalypse. In addition to revealing the season’s name, FX also shared a spooky-looking teaser image for the season on Twitter.

The image depicts a creepy-looking red baby doll grasping for a sinister long-nailed black hand that’s down-right terrifying. Anyone else getting serious Rosemary’s Baby vibes??
As previously confirmed, AHS: Apocalypse will bring back series favorites Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman, and Emma Roberts, alongside the legendary Joan Collins, and Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman (UnREAL) and Kyle Allen (The Path) who both snagged guest-starring roles.
We don’t know much else about the characters other than that Peters is rumored to be playing a “comedic hairstylist,” while Collins will play his grandmother.
AHS: Apocalypse premieres September 12 on FX.
