Free Comic Book Day | Source: Diamond Comic Distributors/the Pop Insider

Next year has plenty in store for comic book lovers, from the three MCU movies on the theatrical release schedule to the many DC heroes who are hitting the big screen. Still, Diamond Comic Distributors won’t forget about those who love enjoying a comic book straight from the shelves. Following a successful 20th-anniversary Free Comic Book Day celebration this year, the first Saturday in May will be strictly for comics once again in 2022!

After being cancelled in 2020 and rescheduled this year, Free Comic Book Day is returning to its traditional annual slot on May 7. Diamond Comic Distributors encourages comic book enthusiasts to spend Free Comic Book Day browsing the shelves of their favorite local comic book store, where they can pick up free comics and get their hands on some event exclusives.
