Toho Godzilla x Mofusand

Godzilla has faced giant monsters and alien invaders, and has taken part in plenty of city-smashing battles.

Now, he’s becoming a cat. Sort of.

Godzilla Store U.S. teamed with Mofusand, the cute cat series from Japanese artist Juno, which launched in 2017, for a new collection that gives Toho’s “King of the Monsters” an unexpectedly adorable makeover.

He won’t exactly tower over your city, but the Godzilla Mofusand Plush, complete with embroidered details, soft fabric, and shimmering blue dorsal plates, stands tall (about 11.8 inches) as the centerpiece of the collection, and a smaller 5.9-inch Plush Keychain brings the same look to backpacks, keys, or shelves.

Fans who want to wear the crossover are in luck: the collection includes an apparel drop available for preorder through July 28. A cream pullover hoodie features katakana lettering and artwork on the back, while two oversized T-shirts offer different takes on the mash-up. One pink tee (already sold out!) features a playful kaiju kitten, while a black version pairs character art with Japanese lettering. These new threads should ship next month.

Overall, this collab lands somewhere between monster-movie mayhem and maximum kawaii.

Head over to Godzilla Store U.S. to fuel your (cute) kaiju fandom.
