Buckle up for another trip to the cottage: November is a perfect time for a Heated Rivalry rewatch. (It’s OK: this ride is practical. It’s good in the snow.)
Shane, Ilya, Scott, and Kip leave center ice for the big screen: Heated Rivalry is headed to Regal, AMC, Cinemark, and participating theaters next month for a limited theatrical release.
Fans can watch two episodes of the hit Crave Original series back-to-back Nov. 6-30, at more than 275 Regal locations. Tickets are $9.99. Loons, as Heated Rivalry fans call themselves, can bask in the sunshine that is “Rookies” and “Olympians,” “Hunter” and “Rose,” and “I’ll Believe in Anything” and “The Cottage.”
Regal screenings feature special welcome content from the series’ cast and directors; participating locations will serve limited-time cocktails inspired by the show: Summer in Montreal and Russians Don’t Blush. The show’s arrival is heralded by Regal, which is distributing the show in theaters.
The theatrical event follows a big year for Heated Rivalry, which took home 16 Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Drama Series, Best Directing, and Best Lead Performer for Williams. The series earned a Peabody Award, a Television Academy Honors Award, and a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding New Television Series.
Based on Rachel Reid’s bestselling novels and created by Jacob Tierney, Heated Rivalry stars Hudson Williams as Shane Hollander and Connor Storrie as Ilya Rozanov, two hockey players whose on-ice rivalry is complicated by their attraction to each other. A making of season one book by Tierney, I’ll Believe in Anything, came out this month.
