Back in May, Asmodee revealed Star Wars: Unlimited, a trading card game that brings together all things Star Wars. Now, fans have a LOT more info about the game to get them excited, including a specific launch date for next year.

The first way fans can play Star Wars: Unlimited is with the Sparks of Rebellion Prerelease Box ($29.99). The set will be released a week before the rest of the game, and select stores will participate in a prerelease tournament for fans to test the waters. The Sparks of Rebellion Prerelease Box will include six Spark of Rebellion Booster Packs, two promo cards, quickstart rules, damage counters, a deckbuilding guide, and a deck box.

Fans can also launch their decks with the Sparks of Rebellion Two-Player Starter ($34.99). This box will come with two pre-built, 50-card decks, damage counters, quickstart rules, two paper playmats, and two folded deckboxes. Between the two decks are full playsets of 10 cards that can’t be found in Booster Packs.

Finally, booster Packs will be available for $4.99 each. Each Booster Pack has nine common cards, three uncommon cards, one rare or legendary card, a leader card, a base card, and a foil version of a card. There’s also a chance that the packs can feature a Hyperspace variant or a Showcase variant, which each features unique art that will make these cards highly collectible.

Star Wars: Unlimited is also the perfect game for game store events, thanks to its Weekly Play Kits and Store Showdown Kits. Each Weekly Play kit supports up to eight players for eight weeks of Weekly Play. The kits come with special three-card blind packs of promos that are exclusive to Weekly Play, including some special alternate-art cards and Hyperspace variants of cards that normally can’t have one. Each week that a player does the Weekly Play challenge, they earn a blind pack.

The Store Showdown kit supports a 32-player Store Showdown event, including prizes. Fans get an alternate-art promo card just for participating and a different one for placing well in the tournament. This kit also comes with booster packs to use as additional prizes throughout the event.

Star Wars: Unlimited is expected to launch on March 8 next year. That may feel lightyears away, but at least this early look at the game can tide us over!
