Snootch to the nooch! Jay and Silent Bob are trading the Quick Stop for something a little greener.

Nitrate Games showed off the first public gameplay for Jay and Silent Bob’s Joint Venture during a New York Comic Con (NYCC) panel on Thursday, with filmmaker Kevin Smith making a surprise appearance as the studio pulled back the curtain on the upcoming mature cozy farming sim.

Players will build and expand their operation, meet familiar faces, and work through an original story set inside Smith’s View Askewniverse. According to Nitrate Games, the story picks up where the movies left off, making Joint Venture a continuation of the larger saga rather than a standalone spinoff.

And yes, plenty of familiar faces are along for the ride. Characters revealed so far include Dante (probably not even supposed to be there today), Randal, Veronica, Brodie, T.S. Quint, Holden, Banky, Hooper, Alyssa, Azrael, Serendipity, Becky, Elias, and, naturally, Mooby.

Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes have been involved in shaping the game, while Ernie Altbacker, whose credits include Batman: Hush and Justice League Dark, is handling the writing.

Jay and Silent Bob’s Joint Venture is headed into playtesting next (sign up here if you want in on the action), with a Steam and PC launch planned for late spring 2027. A console release is also expected later that year.

Snoogans.
