There’s no need to say a certain bio-exercist’s name three times — you can enter the Afterlife and Neitherworld Waiting Room by visiting Beetlejuice Beetlejuice: The Afterlife Experience. Opening on Aug. 23 at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles, the experience features photo ops, interactive entertainment, themed food and drinks, and more.

After entering, guests will knock three times to reveal a portal and enter the Afterlife. Of course, you’ll need a warm welcome on the other side: luckily, Beetlejuice and other ghosts will be there for you. You will receive an exclusive passport, sit next to a pair of ghosts in the Waiting Room, and take your place on the cover of the Handbook for the Recently Deceased.
In addition to re-created sets, the 11,000-square-foot experience includes the Afterlife Diner — with themed food and beverages — and a sandworm (you know the one). Following the experience, you can step into your grave the Afterlife Souvenir Shop. Here, you’ll find limited-edition merch and collectibles inspired by the movie. The shop is open to ticketed and non-ticked guests.
The strange and unusual event lasts around 70 minutes, and the deceased recommends that you dress in your best ghoulish garb and bring your excitement for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which premieres on Sept. 6.
Tickets start at $25 and will be available on July 3 at 10:00 a.m. PST on the Fever app or online at feverup.com. For more information, and to join the waitlist, visit beetlejuiceexperience.com. Until tickets are available, you can re-watch the trailer for the new movie below.
